We are family and pet friendly – government issued photo ID required for all guests over 18.

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we respect it fully. However, we’re also here to enhance your experience by assisting with activity planning, providing directions, and offering advice whenever you’d like.

Neighborhood
In the heart of the Poconos, Fernwood is perched on a high plateau just a few miles north of the village of Canadensis. Our property is graced by the beautifully manicured golf course of Skytop Lodge, offering a vast expanse of natural beauty.
The Poconos themselves are a part of an extensive mountain chain that casts its shadow over the Delaware River, reaching as far north as the Catskills. Some Pocono summits soar several hundred feet in elevation, with the highest peak towering at around 1,800 feet. This region resides on native land historically belonging to the Lenape, Iroquois, and Shawnee tribes.
Access
Our property is accessed via a smart lock with a unique code once rental forms are submitted with government issued photo IDs to verify age and identity.
You can access our private fire pit and patio next to the house and enjoy the front porch as well.
Space
Location: Fernwood Cottage is conveniently situated next to Skytop Lodge, just a 3-minute drive from the main lodge. From here, you can access their award-winning golf course and adventure center, perfect for an exhilarating day of activities like ziplining, rock climbing, archery, and paintball.
If you’re in town for a wedding at Pocono Palms or Magnolia Streamside Resort, we’re a mere 3 minutes away, offering an ideal place for the wedding party to stay, get ready, and capture photos amidst the lush ferns.
And for those seeking to immerse themselves in nature, we’re also close to Promised Land State Park. Here, you can embark on hiking adventures, take refreshing swims, and rent boats for a day amidst the beauty of the great outdoors.

We welcome pets of all sizes and kinds. We require a pet fee, paid before arrival as noted: $35 per day per pet, capped at $200 per stay per pet.

Welcome to our secluded haven, your private sanctuary where serenity and comfort converge. Every bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with its own mini-split AC unit, ensuring your comfort year-round, whether you’re seeking a cool retreat in the summer or cozy warmth in the colder months.
Our prime location places us adjacent to Skytop, making us an excellent choice for weddings and Lodge activities. It’s important to mention that Skytop privileges are not included.
We are family and pet friendly – government issued photo ID required for all guests over 18 to verify age and identity. We only rent to those over age 25.
